The Canyon Dining Table was originally designed and built by Dave for his wife, Marisa, as a belated Mother’s Day gift — a heartfelt tribute to the landscape surrounding their home. The rolling hills motif at the base and the circular tenon, evoking the rising moon, reflect the natural forms of the canyon where Marisa was raised.

Each table is crafted from sand-blasted ash and finished in a fire-resistant paint inspired by the wooden members of their home. The piece showcases classic mortise-and-tenon joinery, with screws used only to secure the top to the base. For lasting strength and integrity, each leg is constructed by laminating nine individual boards of solid wood, then joined by a cylindrical stretcher and twin rectangular supports.

Designed with both beauty and permanence in mind, the Canyon Collection embodies the connection between craft, place, and story — a landscape rendered in wood.
